The online betting platform 1XBET has been "deactivated" in Côte d'Ivoire due to a dispute between the National Lottery of Côte d'Ivoire (LONACI) and Ludus, the operator of sports betting under the brand 1Xbet.
This decision has raised concerns among online bettors who have funds with the operator.
The deactivation of the 1Xbet gaming site occurred on March 13, 2024, at midnight following this dispute. LONACI has advised all bettors using this platform to redirect to authorized sites in Côte d'Ivoire.
This action stems from a government decree in December 2023 that prohibits the organization and operation of concessioned and related games by any operator other than LONACI nationwide.
